Introduction

It’s likely that the header of your store is the first thing your customers look at when browsing. So naturally, the menus in your store's header will receive the majority of attention from customers. For this reason, your Shopify storefront should feature menus that your customers love. Meteor’s goal is to help you build mega menus that are both eye-catching and navigable, so customers have easy access to your store's collections, products, and pages. ✨

If you’re not sure how to start building mega menus, don’t panic. These help docs will guide you through the setup process so that you have the tools you need to build top-notch mega menus for your store. We also provide chat & email support if you have any questions along the way!

Quick tips

Before jumping in, here are a few important details to keep in mind:

  1. Don't worry if you have already spent time setting up your navigation menus in Shopify. We have an import tool in the app to automatically import your existing Shopify navigation menu so you won't have to start from scratch.

  2. As you build your mega menus, we recommend focusing on organization, discoverability, clarity, and (of course) aesthetics. Build menus that will catch your customer’s attention and help them find what they need - quickly and effortlessly.

  3. Desktop menu templates are distinct from Meteor’s mobile menu templates. Mobile users have different needs than desktop users, and Meteor’s menu templates reflect those differences. You can choose from a variety of 8 desktop templates, and 3 mobile templates. The mobile templates include several customization options, including the ability to display images.
